The whole outline of Greetings is Y, it consists of 1500 pieces of triangular LED composed of sized 3-meter-by-31meter.

The form of the work comes from the water elements in nature. Artists studied the texture of different water systems, and then formed the shape of waves. The water has the transparent characteristics of light perception, and it accord with the lighting properties of the work. The basic element of the work - the lights is made up of a sharp triangle. It is surface light source with a specific shape and each of which becomes an independent pixel point, that making the animated of the lights present a low resolution and pixelated form characteristic of mechanization.

When the participants touch sensors, their heartbeats will be collected to the lighting animations. The data presents the communication between humankind and machines. With lighting as the primary tool, the artist takes such interactions and provides feedback on the provided “information”, allowing the visual electronic data to serve as a form of “greeting” that gives both sides chance to “say hello” in a public space.
